1. How to request deletion
Send an email to ava@densnap.com with the subject Data Deletion Request. In the message, include:
- the name on the Facebook or Instagram account you used to message Densnap, and your Instagram username if it applies;
- which Densnap Page or account you messaged, and roughly when, so we can find the conversation; and
- optionally, a short note such as “delete everything you have about me.”
You do not need to give us a reason or share a password. We may reply in the same conversation or by email to confirm that the request comes from you before we delete anything.
2. What we delete
When we complete your request, we delete the information we received through Facebook Messenger and Instagram about you:
- your name, profile details, and the identifier Meta assigned to you;
- the messages, links, images, and attachments you sent, and our replies;
- any notes and business details we recorded from the conversation, such as information you gave us for a website; and
- any copies of these items held by the service providers that help us operate the conversation system.
Some records may be kept where the law requires or permits it, for example payment, tax, or dispute records if you became a customer, or records needed to stop spam or abuse. We keep only what is necessary and tell you if that applies. Copies in backups age out within 30 days.
3. How long it takes
We confirm that we received your request within a few business days, and we complete the deletion within 30 days. We email you when it is done.
4. On Facebook and Instagram
Messages you sent also exist in your own Messenger or Instagram inbox, and Meta keeps its own copy under its own policies. Deleting a conversation there removes only your copy, so please email us as described above for Densnap’s copy. These steps are optional and menu names may change:
- Remove a connected app. On Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites (also shown as Business Integrations), choose Densnap if it is listed, and select Remove. On Instagram, open Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites and do the same.
- Stop messages. You can block or mute the Densnap Page or Instagram account in Messenger or Instagram at any time, or tell us “stop” and we will not message you again.
- Ask Meta. To delete what Meta holds, use the tools in your Facebook or Instagram settings, such as Accounts Center → Your information and permissions.
5. Densnap accounts and websites
This page covers Messenger and Instagram conversations. If you also have a Densnap account, website, or domain and want that information deleted, see Privacy Choices for the process, or mention it in your email and we will handle both together. OurPrivacy Policy explains what we collect and how long we keep it.
